The UW DGH Endowed Fellowship for Global Health Excellence, Equity and Impact helps support students from disadvantaged groups who might not otherwise be able to attend graduate school.
This fund has been pivotal at enabling the DGH MPH and PhD programs to recruit highly ranked applicants who might otherwise attend other top-tier universities. Students who have received these awards choose the UW not only for its strong training programs, but also knowing that their lived experiences and diverse backgrounds are valued. Students who receive these awards go on to careers in global and public health at highly regarded research and practice organizations and government around the world.
Your generous support can help broaden student diversity within DGH, so that we can address some barriers to the UW’s successful recruitment and retention of underrepresented minority students. We are grateful for your support for the world’s future leaders and pioneers of Global Health at UW on #HuskyGivingDay.
